There’s nothing more comforting than having a great friend: someone you can call if you’re having a bad day or an emergency. Besides, a true friend will always be available to lend an ear and support you throughout your endeavours.

Although, it can be challenging to find the ying to your yang. Once you do, you’ll realize they’re the missing puzzle pieces needed in your life.

However, the type of friends you attract depends on who you are. That’s right – knowing what type of friend you are makes it easier to make friends with similar personality traits. That way, it’s easier to support one another.

IGNITE Speed Friending

Now that you’re aware of the friend you are, we’re giving you the chance to make new friends. As we both know, it can be challenging to make friends in college and university! and we’re here to make the process a little easier.

Attend IGNITE Speed Friending, the event which is specifically created for first-year students. Essentially, you’ll be having conversations and playing games with your fellow peers, right here on campus.

Featuring games, giveaways and a photo booth, this is an event you don’t wanna miss! IGNITE Speed Friending is back for the Winter semester. You can join us at the North campus on Thursday, Jan. 4 in the gymnasium. If you have classes at the Lakeshore campus, join us on Friday, Jan.5 in the L Building (second floor).

Both events will start at 10 a.m. and there’s no pre-registration required.

Let’s face it – there are many roadblocks to navigate once you’re in college. Whether it’s assignments, preparing for exams or juggling a part-time job. But what if you had a friend on campus? Someone you could study with or grab a coffee at Starbucks. Wouldn’t that make your experience even better?

IGNITE Speed Friending event is the perfect opportunity to find that friend. And essentially, build a long-lasting relationship.
