$1,000 at stake – would you spend or save it all?
Picture yourself playing a virtual game with the chance of winning a monthly reward of $1,000. It sounds like something out of a dream, right? Well, start to dream big because you might be the lucky one to win this prize.
IGNITE has relaunched the IGNITE Contest for the 2023-2024 academic year and to participate, all you’ve to do is complete a survey and play a virtual game. It’s as simple as that – easy, quick and loads of fun! Join us once a month until the academic year wraps up.
So, what would you do with an extra $1,000 in your pocket? From giving your wardrobe a makeover to jetting off on a dream vacation, the possibilities are endless!
To help you decide, we’ve whipped up a list of super fun ideas for you to spend that $1,000 from the IGNITE Contest.
Take a vacation
We all deserve a break every now and then, whether it’s from work or school. Taking a vacation can help you rest up and recharge your energy. It helps you broaden your horizons and puts you in a better mindset when you return back.
It might sound like a dream, but with some savvy planning, you can enjoy a vacation for less than $1,000. Check out all-inclusive deals for Caribbean destinations or visit spots in Canada – these are great choices that won’t break your bank. You can have a blast while sticking to your budget.
Upgrade your setup
Even though colleges and universities provide you with the option to borrow equipment like digital cameras, microphones, tripods and computers for free, there’s something super special about having your own gadgets right at home.
For media students, a big monitor for editing, or a brand-new laptop for programming students to hone their coding skills, or a different digital camera brand for photography enthusiasts to capture those moments better.
Selfcare
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with treating yourself, right? We all deserve a bit of happiness and a touch of retail therapy from time to time.
Sometimes, spending money on non-essential things is a way to pat ourselves on the back and feel good. It’s crucial to put some money aside for self-care in your budget so you can support your well-being.
So, why not freshen up your wardrobe, book a relaxing spa day, grab some cool kitchen gadgets or even treat yourself to a LEGO set? Whatever your heart desires, you can use the prize money to get yourself a little treat.
Dining experiences
We always have a hot spot around the city that catches our eye – a cool restaurant or a cafe that popped up on your “for you” page. This is the perfect time to give it a shot.
Make a list and check it off whenever you visit different food spots in Toronto. Consider it an opportunity to try out different cuisines or order from your go-to spot.
Not a fan of trying new things? No problem at all! With the extra money, you could also get your usual drink or a classic double double every day.
Whatever your choice may be, don’t miss out on a chance to win not only $1,000 but various gift cards to help you get through your academic journey.
Participate in the IGNITE Contest to win awesome prizes. Remember to come back each month to answer an extra question for another shot at winning!
If luck doesn’t favor you the first time, don’t worry, we’ve got your back. Swing by our on-campus pop-up events, show us you completed the survey, and our awesome Brand Ambassadors will give you an extra chance to play. Yep, even if you’ve already won once, you’ve got a chance to win all over again!
