Discover how these memes didn’t just trend but dominated your FYP.

If there’s one thing TikTok does best, it’s keeping us chronically entertained. Trends and memes evolve and change at the speed of light. What was funny last week is already considered old news.

But somehow, some memes manage to stick around long enough to appear on your For You Page and be the talk of your group chats.

So, here is what we think made it to your fyp:

“Raise your ya ya ya”

@montoya_zen Raise your yayaya 🏎️ #raiseyouryayaya #F1 #viral #formula1 #fyp ♬ Originalton – K-Skill

What was a normal day at a vocal class led by Jodie Langel, teaching her student how to avoid a voice crack by breaking down the lyrics, turned into a massive internet meme. Langel was helping her student find the exact point where she has a voice crack by alternating the lyric “raise your right finger” from “I’d Rather Be Me” by Auliʻi Cravalho into the infamous “raise your ya ya ya.”

This clip ended up becoming a source for many memes, with people lip-syncing to the audio, recreating it or editors using it to edit their videos.

“Is that hyperpigmentation?”

@cliptok_06 I would be the dad 😭 #hyperpigmentation #itsfantastic #drawing #viral #trend #meme #fyp #fy ♬ Hyperpigmentation – cliptok_06

This meme was originally posted on YouTube back in 2019, but it reemerged on TikTok in 2025.

The video follows a conversation between Sonia Tiebi and her daughter. The mother asks her daughter to show the portrait that she has been posing for the previous 10 minutes. The seven-year-old girl pulls out a rather hilarious sketch of her mom’s side profile, which became the face of the meme today.

While suppressing her laugh, Sonia tries to reassure her daughter with compliments, detailing the sketch, “Is that hyperpigmentation?”

The hilarious video brought many memes, including people painting their faces as the sketch and quoting the video.

“I’ve played these games before!”

@actual_queenbee I'VE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE!! #squidgame #foryou #fyp #trending #squidgamenetflix #gihun #iveplayedthesegamesbefore ♬ original sound – cjneedaname

This audio is taken from the English-dubbed version of Squid Game, specifically from season two of the South Korean show.

The main character screams the line, “I’ve played these games before!” while standing in front of other game players. He has already been part of the game and tries to convince others to listen to him.

TikTokers, doing what they do best, turned it into a meme and started using the audio and the clip to discuss situations they have dealt with in the past.

For instance, for a video captioned “when I see a slime tutorial that claims to be ‘no glue and no borax.’” The audio helps people recall the time as kids, how those videos would always be fake and never actually make slime.

One gorilla vs 100 men

The internet debated one question for weeks: who would win? One silverback gorilla or 100 men. This hilarious and chaotic question took over the internet by storm. People debated the gorilla’s stats, made hypothetical teams and created different scenarios — the memes were endless.

And discussions would always end with comments like, “Is the gorilla aware of this fight?”

Pepe the King Prawn

@hiraethandpetrichor #fyp #fypシ #fypシ゚viral #foryourpage #muppets #meme #funnymoments #likeaprayer #foryoupage #muppet #trend ♬ original sound – ellouise’s overlays

When people started posting their unhinged, hilarious and chaotic stories, with a picture of Pepe the King Prawn as a background, this trend had everyone staying awake at 3 a.m. laughing uncontrollably.

Imagining that they had the same expression as the red muppet, the story just becomes ten times funnier. The cherry on top? The song “Like a Prayer (Choir version)” playing in the background, pulling the entire video together.

HOLY AIRBALL

♬ original sound – Ace

In the same vein as the basketball term airball, which means to completely miss the rim and backboard with a shot, the “Holy f—ing airball” meme is used to talk about situations where someone’s guess has completely missed the mark.

This trend had both an impressive and a hilarious side to it. TikTok users would creatively mention their achievements and impressive hobbies with the beginning slide saying, “Told them that I ….” followed by the second slide being a stereotypical assumption. And finally, the last slide is what the creator actually meant.

Users have also participated in the trend to show how bad they are at the activity and the assumption was still very off… just in the other direction.

Gukesh defeats Magnus in chess

In June 2025 at the Norway Chess tournament, chess fans witnessed history. Gukesh Dommaraju, a 19-year-old chess prodigy, defeated one of the best players, Magnus Carlsen

Magnus’s shocked reaction, slamming the table, quickly became meme material. Additionally, Gukesh’s quiet, nonchalant and a “what just happened?” reaction just made the meme better.

People on TikTok recreated the moment in their own creative scenarios.

Alexander Hamilton

@not_barstool This one has officially won the trend #alexanderhamilton #ihatemywifefinalboss #fyp ♬ original sound – ︎ ︎ ︎

Inspired by the hit musical Hamilton, a hilarious trend originated when women on TikTok started dressing up as Alexander Hamilton and dramatically sneaking outside their house in the most discreet and small spaces possible, including everything from tiny washroom windows to climbing up the chimney.

The men didn’t hold back either, quickly joining in as Eliza Hamilton calling her husband back to bed.

Aura farming

@fansparkpro You may have seen the “aura farming” or “boat kid” videos all over social media, where a kid dances on the end of a moving raceboat in Indonesia. Well, this trend has taken over the sports world from motorsports to baseball, everyone is jumping to do the aura farming dance. Check out some of our favorite clips and comment which player/team did the best! ##aura##aurafarming##sports##sportstiktok##f1##motorsports##soccer##baseball ♬ Young Black & Rich – Melly Mike

Originating from the Indonesian boat racing tradition known as Pacu Jalur, Rayyan Arkan Dikha participated in the tradition as the Togak Luan, which is the dancer standing at the front of the boat during the race. Their role is to motivate the rowers and entertain the spectators with their moves.

The video with the song “Young Black & Rich” by Melly Mike quickly went viral and became an internet meme. Dikha’s impressive moves and perfect balance were admired by many, making the internet name him “the aura farming kid.”

The meme had people wearing sunglasses and recreating Dikha’s dance moves on TikTok.

“I’m so hungry I could eat”

@_.izzygrace._ I was crying behind the camera pls disregard that #fyp #imsohungryicouldeat ♬ original sound – ⋆˚࿔ izzy 𝜗𝜚˚⋆

This meme features kids digging into their parents’ pasts and name-dropping old friends or previous partners in the most unexpected ways. The setup is simple but hilarious: kids would express hunger and follow it with “I’m so hungry I could eat…” and they’d name-drop a person known by their parents.

This kind of conversation would have the parents stop in their tracks and look shocked.

Jet2holidays

@123vide0s Jet2Holidays #fyp #123 #viral #camel #jet2holidays #meme #joke #2025 #animals #core #xyzbca ♬ original sound – 123

The Jet2holidays meme originated from an ad campaign by the holiday company. The audio features the song “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne and a voiceover describing the travel deals.

The audio became popular as people started to use it as a background for their comically chaotic, bad and silly fails.

Can’t prove it

@adizzils #meme #fyp #fypシ ♬ original sound – adizzils

Clipped from the show Dexter, this meme features James Doakes making a suspicious expression, following the premise of knowing something but not being able to prove it.

The phrase “can’t prove it” and the reaction image are now used in many TikTok videos, where people express having hilarious takes on things but are unable to prove it.

“Dear basketball”

@michelle_horaa #fyp #basketball ♬ original sound – mprodz

This emotional meme audio quotes basketball legend Kobe Bryant’s poem for basketball, pairing it with Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part” playing softly in the background.

Peak ironic humour, the audio is used in videos of people dramatically failing at various sports, contrasting the original audio.

Hugh Jackman impressions

@notthekombuchaman #hughjackman #impression #sing ♬ original sound – joey morof

This meme follows Joey Morof making a hilarious impression of Hugh Jackman’s singing style. His most viewed TikTok video is of him impersonating Hugh Jackman if he were in the movie Sing. Singing lines from the Beatles song, “Golden Slumbers,” and curating approximately 25 million views, the comment section couldn’t agree with Morof more.

Morof also does impressions of the character Mort from the cartoon movie Madagascar, with the most viewed TikTok being him singing the same Beatles song.
