Roll the film! Test your knowledge of movies and TV shows filmed on campus.

You’ve probably heard that the Humber College Lakeshore campus was once home to the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital. But did you know that the Lakeshore Grounds are also a popular spot for movies and TV show productions?

The first production took place on the Lakeshore Grounds in 1977. Since then, the area has become a favourite filming location for many production companies. By the way, you may want to save this information for the quiz – just saying!

Located at the Student Welcome and Resource Centre at the Lakeshore campus, the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre showcases the natural and built stories of the area, including details about the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital and its underground tunnels. The centre also features a film history project that tracks and locates the various productions filmed on the Lakeshore Grounds over the years.

We’ve got a challenge for you. Go over the list of movies filmed on campus and test your knowledge with the Kahoot we’ve created. You can either play solo or invite your friends to join the fun.

If the quiz piques your interest in the Lakeshore Grounds, keep an eye on their website for upcoming tours. They often host tours that explore the history of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital, where you explore the patient-built underground tunnels and nineteenth-century cottages, as well as the film and television history of the grounds, where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the productions that have taken place on campus.
