Work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities – internships, placements, co-ops, etc – are a great segue into the working world and a chance for students to apply what they’ve learned and gain hands on experience. But having to take an unpaid opportunity is frustrating and can feel unfair. At IGNITE, we believe that students should be paid for their work – no matter the level – and that compensation should not be a reason to miss out on great opportunities.
