Learn more about Amelia’s life and hear her advice to students.

Amelia Dimoldenberg travelled to Canada for the first time for IGNITE Real Talks to chat with Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber students about her journey as a content creator and offer advice on exploring digital opportunities.

Dimoldenberg’s journey began back when she was a fashion journalism student at Central Saint Martins University. At just 17 years old, she started writing a column, Chicken Shop Date, for The Cut magazine in Northwest London.

After writing the column for a while, Dimoldenberg realized she could expand her possibilities by transitioning from print to video. The first episode of Chicken Shop Date aired on YouTube in March 2014, with British rapper Ghetts as the first guest.

From there, well, as they say, the rest is history. A decade later, Chicken Shop date has achieved remarkable success.

IGNITE got the chance to sit down with Amelia Dimoldenberg herself for an exclusive one-on-one interview. Check out what the dead-pan genius, red-carpet correspondent and dating expert had to share about her journey and advice for students.
