The results are in!

The polls are officially closed! From 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber students had their say in the 2025-2026 IGNITE Election

And, wow, what a week it was!

A total of 7,824 students cast their votes to decide who will represent them on the IGNITE Board of Directors. The student-elected board is not only the bridge between students and IGNITE, but also your voice in shaping the student experience. They make decisions that impact IGNITE’s strategic direction, advocate for your needs and bring student concerns straight to Humber and UofGH.

This year, 17 candidates across four campuses were running for 10 spots on the board. After weeks of launching their candidacy and campaigning on campus, the results are finally in!

We want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who voted and to the candidates who put themselves out there to run in this election. Passion and dedication are what make this board truly exceptional, and you all exemplified these qualities.

Let’s not waste another paragraph. It’s time for the big announcement! Drumroll, please.
