Concerts you don't want to miss this summer

It’s almost that time of the year when you’ve got to grab sunscreen and sunglasses when going out.

I’m sure most of us have a bucket list to complete over the summer whether it’s taking a road trip or going to the beach. Naturally, there will be tons of festivals to explore, right in the city. Well, lucky for you, there’s something else you can add to your list – concerts.

That’s right! Some of the biggest stars will be performing right in Toronto. And trust me, you don’t wanna miss these events. Here’s our list of concerts we can’t wait for.

Usher

Known for singing about his Confessions, and numerous hits for the past three decades, Usher will be hitting the stage at Scotiabank Arena. By now, we’ve all seen his Superbowl performance, where he sang some of his hit songs such as “Yeah” and “Burn.”

And if there’s anything I know about Usher, he’s sure to put on a show. So, you can expect him to bring the Vegas experience and surprise performers to Toronto. Plus, it wouldn’t be an Usher concert without his incredible vocals or dance moves!

Get ready to sing all night long as Usher will perform on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3

Known for her popular songs such as “Triggered”, “None of your Concern” and “W.A.Y.S.,” Jhené will be gracing the stage at Scotiabank Arena on July 2. And guess what? Her Magic Hour tour will feature live performances from Coi Leray, Tink and Kiana Ledé.

M fingers are crossed for Big Sean to make an appearance so they can perform their greatest hits from their debut album Twenty88.

If you’re looking for a concert with great entertainment and amazing talent, you won’t be disappointed! One thing about Jhené is that she always delivers vocals!

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo is a classic triple threat, so we know she’s gonna show off her incredible dance moves. Whether she’s performing, acting or serving as a judge on American Idol, she can definitely keep you entertained.

Performing on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 in Toronto, her “This is Me…Now” tour is one for the books! You can expect to see numerous outfit changes, back up dancers and more.

Avril Lavigne

If you’re a big fan of Billie Eilish, then this one’s for you. Canadian singer and songwriter, Avril Lavigne will be going on tour across Canada this summer! Even if you’re planning to take a road trip, you can expect to see her in Winnipeg or Calgary!

And guess what? You’re likely to hear some of her greatest hits too. So if you’re someone who enjoys listening to pop and punk, this concert is right up your alley.

Now that you’re aware of the concerts you shouldn’t miss this summer, go ahead and purchase your tickets. It’s the perfect opportunity to invite your friends and get dressed up. We know it’s a given to go all out for concert outfits. That way, you can take the best pic for Instagram.

Once you have purchased your tickets, there are other factors you need to consider, like transportation, food and merch. Since all of these concerts will be held at Scotiabank Arena, don’t forget to check the bag requirements so you won’t have any issues entering the venue.
