2 Chainz

No matter if you’re into rap and hip-hop music, we’re sure you’ve heard of award-winning rapper, TV star, entrepreneur and all-around icon 2 Chainz.

Since his career first kicked off, 2 Chainz has released ten mixtapes, four EPs and six studio albums, the most recent of which — So Help Me God! — came out in November 2020. He’s received 22 gold and platinum certifications and countless awards, including BET Awards and a Grammy award.

In addition to having over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 2 Chainz has created tracks for the soundtracks of blockbuster films like Black Panther and Fast & Furious 6. He has also collaborated with an incredible number of other A-list artists, including Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, A$AP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Future — the list goes on!

But you already knew he’s a music legend.

As if conquering the hip-hop scene wasn’t enough, with his get up and get it mentality, 2 Chainz has also made a name for himself as a TV personality on VICE TV’s Most Expensivest, sampling some of the most luxurious items the world has to offer. Moreover, he started his own independent record label, The Real University (also known as “TRU” or “The Real U”), which shares a name with his not-for-profit organization. And he doesn’t stop there — he also established his Money Maker Fund to support student entrepreneurs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Impressed? We sure are! In fact, we’re so impressed that we made sure to secure the opportunity to chat with 2 Chainz before vibing at his virtual Frosh performance.

Check out what he had to say about his past and upcoming projects, giving back to the community, following your dreams, exceeding expectations, starting your own business and more!
