Another Speed Friending session will be happening in September for all continuing students\, so you’ll still have the chance to meet new friends and get involved on campus. \n\n\n\nNew students\, do not miss out on this fantastic chance to connect\, laugh and set the tone for an amazing school year ahead. DESCRIPTION:At IGNITE\, your choice makes a difference! \n\n\n\nYou’ve probably heard about speed dating before\, but what about speed friending?  \n\n\n\nWe know that being a first-year student can be intimidating. You most likely don’t know anyone\, you’re starting your post-secondary journey at a new school and maybe even moving out of your parents’ home. We get it\, it’s challenging.  \n\n\n\nOne thing that can significantly enhance your post-secondary experience is having a friend – or friends – you can rely on.  \n\n\n\nThat’s why every semester\, IGNITE hosts Speed Friending\, an event designed to help you make connections and\, potentially\, find your new best friend.  \n\n\n\nAre you bad at breaking the ice? Don’t worry\, we’ve prepared a variety of get-to-know-you games and activities to facilitate conversations between strangers.  \n\n\n\nIf you’re a first-year student starting this fall\, join us from Aug. 27 to 29 at 12:15 p.m. at the North Atrium for an event full of other first-year students and long-lasting connections! \n\n\n\nBesides the opportunity to meet your next college best friend\, we’ll also be providing bubble tea and waffles for those who attend.
