Let’s be real, post-secondary life can feel suuuuper overwhelming. Juggling bites between classes, endless assignments and those ‘this is my last video’ TikTok scroll breaks (don’t lie, we all have done it!). It’s easy to feel like you’re on your own.

But here’s the thing: you are not! Welcome to IGNITE, your student union (aka your on-campus lifeline), here to help you stress less and enjoy more.

Great question! Think of it as your very own support squad. A group of people representing you and making sure your voice is heard. They advocate on your behalf, provide resources that you didn’t know you even needed and host the best events (snacks included, duh).

IGNITE is the official student union of Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber. If you are looking for financial support, free food or a place to recharge between lectures, IGNITE’s here to help.

IGNITE is for the students, by the students and of the students. If you are overwhelmed with school, constantly yawning or wanting your voice heard in big decisions, IGNITE makes sure to provide support, ensuring you come first.

Experience events you’ll never forget. From our high-energy Hype Hall to unforgettable performances like IGNITE’s very own Drag Show, campus events are where you loosen up and live it up.

School is more than deadlines due at 11:59 p.m. Join one of many IGNITE clubs. From crochet to esports, we’ve got it all. Can’t find what you are looking for? Start your own club! Easy peasy.

You can win plushies, gift cards and snacks with our on-campus pop-ups. Learn about and participate in our advocacy campaigns, such as IGNITE’s Time is Money, which is a reminder that your energy, efforts and mental health are worth protecting.

Your concerns matter. IGNITE makes sure your voice is heard where it counts.

Financial situations can arise at any time. The IGNITE Bursary, for example, provides the assistance that you may need. That’s why scholarships and bursaries are provided to ease those financial worries (because no one should have to worry about that).

Stomach grumbling mid-lectures? Discover the IGNITE Soupbar and grab a free (yes, free!) and delicious soup, so you can ditch the snack hunt. Head over to the nearest IGNITE Soupbar fridge and choose from many nutritious soup options.

Tax season coming up? IGNITE Tax Clinic is here to get your taxes done right on campus. We professionally train students to assist you in filing taxes.

Free menstrual products are also available in washrooms across campus!
