It’s the final stretch to freedom.
The school year is slowly coming to an end, and soon you’ll be out at the beach working on your tan, or out working on the job. No matter what your summer plans are, you can always look forward to some free time to recuperate after a stressful school year.
With all the excitement of finishing school, we thought we’d ask Humber and Guelph-Humber students what their summer plans are. Here’s what they had to say:
Zoe Pigeon | Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion | North
“I’m just moving back home to London with my boyfriend. We’re going to be working, and saving up to move back to Etobicoke. We might go to a cabin in Niagara too.”
Ankur Patel | Project Management | North
“From May-August I’ll be coming back to school to take a class in Project Management. I’m graduating school in August.”
Sebastian | Fashion Management | Lakeshore
“I’ll be working and doing an internship. It’s not solid yet, I’m still trying to figure that out.”
Alesia Germinario | Justice Studies | Guelph-Humber
“Hopefully, I’ll get a job at the hospital. I had the job last summer and I’m hoping they’ll rehire me again. I might go back to Montreal – I went there last summer and really enjoyed it.”

Rachelle Caravalho | Media Studies | Guelph-Humber
“I have a full-time job this summer at Indigo. Maybe I’ll go to Fan Expo at the end of August.”
Sydney Wettlaufer | Media Studies | Guelph-Humber
“I’m returning to the same full-time job I’ve had for the last four summers. I work at an insurance company doing administrative work.”
Azzan Al Balushi | Project Management | North
“I’m not working this summer, so I’m planning on visiting my sister out in Vancouver since she lives down there. Or maybe go to Niagara Falls.”
Melanie | Fashion Management | Lakeshore
“I’m in the Fashion Management program as well, so I’ll be working and doing my internship at the same time. My job will be my internship. I’m going to be the Associate Manager at Reitman’s.”
