Looking for a part-time gig that has the flexibility to work around your school schedule while allowing you to gain experience in your field of study? Then you’ll want to mark your calendars for the IGNITE Hiring Day where we will be hiring for a variety of part-time positions!
The event will be held from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at our Lakeshore campus on Thursday, March 23 on the main floor of the K building.
The hardest part about applying for jobs is getting your foot in the door. But we know you have the skills and want to give you the opportunity to show them off!
This year, we’re going paperless so you don’t have to worry about carrying around a folder full of resumes. Simply fill out your application online ahead of the event! If selected for an interview, get ready to meet with the department manager when you stop by!
What positions will be available?
Positions available include:
Brand Ambassador: Ensure your fellow students never suffer from FOMO again. Engage the student community and help communicate all of our services, events and initiatives on campus.
Content Writer: Have a way with words? Share your stories with our student body: write articles, event pages and web copy in this part-time role.
Leadership and Advocacy Assistant: Help leaders lead! Assist with a variety of student leadership initiatives including clubs, scholarships and events.
Email Marketing Assistant: Put your copywriting, marketing, and design skills to use by assisting in all of IGNITE’s email marketing initiatives.
Graphic Designer: Adobe aficionados, we need you. From motion graphics to printed posters, an eye for design and creativity is the key to success for this part-time position.
Online Engagement Editor: Instagram connoisseurs and meme-masters, use your skills and creativity to communicate with students through our social media channels.
Customer Service Representative: Are you a people person? Put your stellar personality and communication skills to use.
Career Success Assistant Help students succeed, just like you. Bring your impressive ideas to the table and collaborate on exciting events and services to benefit the student body.
Videographer: Lights, camera, action. Film and edit interviews with students and celebrities, and capture all the memories from the best events on campus.
What’s the eligibility?
The positions require employees to begin in May or August depending on the role’s needs. To apply for Summer or Fall/Winter positions, you will need to be a Humber or UofGH student in the Fall 2023 semester.
