What’s in my bag this winter?

by Gemma Mastroianni

Seasons change, and so do the items in my purse.

So, you clicked this because you want to know what’s in my bag? Well, that varies by the season. Things have changed since fall, and here’s what’s in there right now:

GLAMGLOW — Mega Illuminating Moisturizer

My skin is extra dry in the winter, so right now I’m obsessed with this moisturizer. I got it as a sample from my Ipsy bag and I’m in love. I’ve been avoiding makeup these days to just let my skin breathe and do its thing. The moisturizer comes in three different shades, and right now I’m using the Nude Glow. Not only is it super hydrating, but it literally makes my skin glow. Grab yours on the Sephora website.

Mug and a variety of teabags

So here’s the tea, I’m not a fan of portable coffee thermoses. Every time I’ve bought one it always spills out the side. I work out of the IGNITE office for most of the week so I just bring my own mug, use the kettle, and feel right at home with my mug and whichever tea I want to bring from home. Not only do I feel right at home, but I save money! Starbucks is definitely my friend but I can’t spend $30 a week on caffeine during Christmas time.

Whenever the weather is changing, it messes with my head. I tend to get a lot of headaches when the weather is up and down, so I always carry my Peppermint Halo around with me. Whenever I’m feeling a headache coming on, I just roll it onto my temples and it provides some relief.

Headphones… not earbuds

I specifically use headphones in the winter time, NOT earbuds—let’s not get it twisted. Since it’s cold out and I walk and take the bus constantly, headphones help me out with warmth rather than wearing earmuffs. I’ve also been a bit more of a snob when it comes to sound quality these days and I like the sound of my Sony headphones way better than my buds.

GT’s Third Eye Chai Kombucha

Third Eye Chai Kombucha

Anyone that knows me knows I’m obsessed with kombucha. But recently I’ve switched up my go-to flavours. In the summer and fall, I was loving fruity flavours. Nowadays, I’m really loving GT’s Third Eye Chai. It has more of a spiced and warmer vibe to it. The drink itself is chilled, but the chai-spice really gives it that extra winter kick.

Now you know me a little bit more inside and out. I think the cold is really lame, but these things truly do make it all the better. I hope these products can help make winter just a bit more bearable for you all!
