Meet your 2016-17 Guelph-Humber Academic Program Representatives

Guelph-Humber Academic Program Representatives are dedicated, passionate students who want to make sure the voices of Guelph-Humber students are heard.

We had more than 40 students vying for the 14 coveted positions; so we’re certain that this year’s reps are truly a great group of students.

Your reps will be compiling any feedback they receive from the Guelph-Humber student body and presenting it to curriculum committees during program coordinators’ meetings. In correspondence with the full-time support staff here at IGNITE, your U of GH APRs are more equipped than ever to make sure your voice is heard.

“I was the Media Studies APR last year, it was a great experience so it felt like a natural extension, I’ve always had an interest in student engagement. I feel it’s important to effectively present student beliefs on important stages. I’m looking forward to continue to be there for students.”

“I was a Justice Studies APR last year, it was a lot of fun! I believe that there is a lot of potential for students within my program, and I think there is an opportunity to enhance the curriculum. I want to unite the two fields within our program Community & Justice & Police Foundations, because in the real world we will all be working together. I also want to make it a priority to help all students find work placements because that can be difficult without support.”
