5 reasons you should attend IGNITE’s AGM

We have an open-door policy!

It has been a hectic month for IGNITE and for the Humber and Guelph-Humber student body. We have just gone through an election and will have a new executive team at the helm of the organization moving forward. Now is the perfect chance to educate yourself on relevant initiatives and objectives.

On Wednesday, March 29th at 11:00 am you can join us at our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting will take place in the North campus Student Centre and will be streamed live at the Lakeshore K Building Student Centre.

The AGM has four main objectives

  • Approve the 2017-2018 budget
  • Ratify election result
  • Approve auditors
  • Receive updates on IGNITE 2016-2017 highlights and accomplishments

This has been the first academic year under the new IGNITE brand. Come find out how successful the year was with the new name. IGNITE has accomplished a lot this year and we want to tell you all about it.

This year has been successful and eventful, but what’s on the calendar for the year ahead? The 2017-2018 budget will be approved at the AGM, so this is a great opportunity to learn exactly what the plan is.

IGNITE has a new executive team. You hopefully already know a lot about our new team from the election period, but now is a great chance to see them after campaigning. They want to meet you, so go introduce yourself!

If you have ideas, now is the perfect time to share them. There are new IGNITE executives, and they are always listening to you. Make sure your voice is fresh in their mind right before they start planning for the next academic school year.

Aside from everything else, the will be cookies and hot beverages. Who doesn’t like free food? It is a great way to come together, eat some food, and meet other engaged Humber and Guelph-Humber students.
