FIFA Tournament – Sept 2019

Are you a FIFA pro? If so, you’ll definitely want in on this tournament.

Join us on Monday, September 30th to show off your FIFA skills in our “kick-off mode” tournament and win some awesome prizes! First place champion will win a pair of Leafs tickets, runner up will get a $50 Dine on Campus gift card and 3rd place will receive a $25 Subway gift card!

Tournament will take place:

North Campus: 12 p.m. in the Games Room (KX 101)

Lakeshore Campus: 12 p.m. in the Games Room (K Building)

Game-Play Settings

  • Tournament style: Single Elimination
  • Game speed: Normal
  • 6-minute Halves
  • Injuries: On
  • Off Sides: On
  • Time/Score Display: On
  • Player Status Bar: Player Names
  • Camera: Dynamic or Tele

Game Etiquette & Forbidden Moves:

  • A coin flip will decide which players are home, and which players are away.
  • Club Teams Only.
  • Players must kick-off with a backward pass at the beginning of each half and after every goal.
  • Players are not allowed to score goals from within their own half.
  • Players are not permitted to utilize the ‘Kick Off Bug’.
  • Players wishing to make substitutions or alter free-kick options must wait until the ball is out of play before making any changes.
  • Players must not pause the game when the ball is in play.
  • Players must not keep the ball in defense by passing it around (i.e. time wasting).
  • Players are not permitted to take control of the goalkeeper in order to make the AI take control of the defence.
  • Players are not allowed to receive coaching from anyone.
  • Breaking any rules will result in disqualification.
  • If the match goes to overtime, the match will be decided by the “Golden Goal”. If the match still hasn’t been decided, it will be decided by a penalty shootout.

Utilisation of gameplay aspects widely regarded as providing an unfair advantage or bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Any player found to be using these or unsporting behaviour will be removed from the tournament.
